If a teenager is questioning his faith at midnight, the last thing we want is a paywall between him and a faithful answer. The free experience isn’t a teaser. It runs the same 2,700-line doctrinal charter as everything else here. Same teaching. Same truth.

Running it isn’t free, though — there are model costs and hosting bills every month. Donations cover them. If TrueCatholic AI is worth something to you, a couple of dollars a month keeps it available to everyone who can’t give anything at all.

Do I have to donate to use it?
No. TrueCatholic AI is free for everyone, and the free experience is not going to shrink to make donating more attractive. 5 questions a day with no account, 15 with a free account, the full 2,700-line charter on every one of them. Donors get a thank-you — a higher daily limit — but the faith itself is never the thing being sold.
Can I really use it without an account?
Yes. Asking requires nothing — no email, no signup, no tracking. You go to the site and start asking. We don’t store your conversations. We don’t build a profile on you. We don’t sell data. Donating needs an account so we know whose limit to raise — but the faith is never behind a wall.
Is this safe for my kids?
That's why we built it. The charter includes explicit guidance on age-appropriate responses, pastoral sensitivity, and content boundaries. Unlike secular AI, it won't undermine your teaching, affirm things that contradict Church doctrine, or fold under pressure when your teenager pushes back on a hard moral question. Supporting as a family gives each family member their own seat with the full doctrinal charter on every response.
What if a competitor builds something better?
We'd celebrate. The goal is faithful Catholic AI, not market dominance. We'll benchmark every Catholic AI that launches on the Catholic Faithfulness Index and publish the results — even if they beat us. Our charter is public specifically so others can learn from it. If someone builds a better Catholic AI, Catholics win.
How does family support work?
One account, up to 6 seats. The owner donates monthly and gets a join code to share with family members. Each member creates their own account and enters the code to join. The family shares a daily pool of 200 Haiku and 30 Sonnet questions. When the Sonnet pool runs out, it falls back to Haiku automatically. Every response runs the full doctrinal charter regardless of model.
Where does my donation go?
API costs (paying the AI providers for compute) and infrastructure (servers, hosting). That’s it. There’s no venture capital, no investor pressure to monetize your data, and no incentive to compromise doctrine for growth. Donations directly subsidize free access for anyone who needs it.
Can I stop anytime?
Yes, instantly. No retention tricks, no “are you sure?” gauntlet, no hidden fees. Stop whenever you need to and keep asking questions about the faith — the charter is always running.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. TrueCatholic AI isn’t a registered nonprofit, so monthly support isn’t a tax-deductible charitable contribution. It’s a straightforward monthly gift that pays the bills and keeps the service open to everyone.
